We had the privilege of having "Foolish Things" as our camp band last year. They also did a concert at the Venue last January with our very own "Will Remain." The concert event was held at The Venue downtown (see pictures!). I think the attendance was sparked by the title we gave the event..."Foolish Remains."
In January, Foolish Things released a brand new album, "Even Now." It is amazing and can be bought on itunes. It is totally worth it. Foolish Things served as a band traveling pretty much everywhere for 10 years. I've attached a letter I received from them a few weeks back.
Keith,
Hello, this is Nate Phillips with Foolish Things. How are you? It has been too long since we've talked! I hope you are doing well. I don't know if you knew or not, but Foolish Things released a new album last month. The album has been selling well, and we've been so blessed to be selling in the top 100 of i-tunes. We've received great feedback and are thankful that people are being blessed by the music.
I've been meaning to get in touch with you to let you know that this spring is the last season that Foolish Things will be doing shows. Back in October '07, we felt called to use the winter and spring of '08 to release this album and wrap up as a band. While this is an incredibly bittersweet decision, we are proud to have served the Lord for the past 10 years with Foolish Things. We are also excited to see what the Lord has in store for us as we move forward.
Shaul and Emily are enjoying life with Harper(6 month old boy!). Mark and Becky will be having a son in March. Isaac will be starting a worship pastor position at Calvary Chapel South Denver in teh coming months. James is working and praying through what is next for his life and ministry. Megan and I will be moving to Sioux Falls, SD in June to help serve with The Firehouse: www.firehouseministry.com. We will be helping run a 24/7 house of prayer and coordinating service efforts to the homeless and Native Americans.
This is pretty new, and we are adjusting, praying and leaning on the Lord through the transition. We would covet your prayers as well.
In Him,
Nate Phillips
