It is with very heavy hearts and extreme sadness that we share this news with everyone. A senior girl in our youth group, Sara, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday. She invited Christ into her life in February of this year and Keith had the privilege of baptizing her in the river in August. Her parents have stated that her relationship with Christ was very evident. Sara was a joy to be around. A very humble girl and an all-star athlete and scholar. She will be missed greatly. Praise God she is in Heaven today and we will see her again someday.
The most important thing for us to do when faced with such an extreme tragedy is to find a way for God to receive glory through it all. We have already seen His hand at work in so many ways and He is receiving the glory. What a mighty God we serve! Tonight at youth group Keith will be answering the top questions he's received concerning death and eternity. It will be exciting to see how many people will be added to God's kingdom through this all. Please continue to pray for Sara's family (mom, dad, and brother), her friends, our youth group, Timberline High School, healing for everyone, and for the funeral on Friday. Keith and Pastor Jeff will be performing the service. The gospel message will be presented and the opportunity to respond will be given. Please, please, please pray for people's heart to be open and that many will receive Him. Thank you so much to everyone for the love, prayers, and support you have given through this difficult time.
